Figliarina gives back....

FIGLIARINA gives back to the earth and the community through a collaboration with The INVISIBLE Sisters on a unique collection of hand crocheted bags by a guild composed of urban poor mothers and grandmothers spinning computers wires, used dry cleaner and plastic bags, hard drives, mother boards, cassette and video tapes, and a random variety of unseen factory waste into fashionable creations. It is simple problem solving: CONNECTING THE DOTS requiring skills and imagination resulting in new possibilities to create something from “nothing.”

Founded by Ann Wizer, the group is called The INVISIBLE Sisters for at least two reasons. The raw materials used to create products are those that are considered trash often ignored, it becomes invisible. Through this undertaking the women are able to develop their craft, augment their family income and more importantly develop their sense of self worth and confidence.

Figliarina is part of Charter International, Inc. brands including Figlia, M.Nicole, Shūbizz, Barbie adult footwear and Sorores. Please visit our website atwww.figlia.biz and Facebook page at www.facebook.com/figliashoes
